The July 1st mountain bike race organized by the chefs'ski club and supported by Hunter Mountain was a great success, maybe not in the number of attendant but in the amount of fun. The weather a little bit on the cool side was perfect for the race. One loop of 1.5 mile was set up by the mountain starting in front of the lodge throughout Hunter one, some woods, the bottom of Madison, across toward Belt parkway, more woods and down in front of the lodge. Two or for loops were offered.

On the two loops the winner were:
  • 1st: S.Barrow in 19.43Min congratulations
  • 2nd: Jacqueline Olson in 23.44Min
  • 3rd: Omar Sot in 25.58Min

On the four loops,we had:
  • 1st: Laurent Sauvanet in 36Min congratulations
  • 2nd: Jon Atkin in 36.12Min
  • 3rd: John Farmer in 41.45Min

The race was followed by the awards and a lunch at Milan Perfect Lift and in the afternoon a game of petanque (French version of the Italian bocce)all in all a great day of fun and camaraderie like the chefs know how to do it. Maybe another one is in the plans for the end of October. In the mean time, don't forget the tennis tournament on Sept.16 at Milan perfect lift,no preregistration required, but let us know so we can plan on the numbers.
Have a wonderful summer.
